FLYING GAFFS

Flying Gaffs are a very important Fishing Tool especially when fishing for Shark or Large Tuna. The handle is only to guide the head of the Flyer. The moment you load the Flyer Head into position to capture the Shark you need to instantly detach the handle with one hand while the other hand allows the Rope and Head of the Flyer to be kept taut for more control and easier handling. This does not allow the Shark any control as would be the case if the Handle was still attached to the head.

Flying Gaffs come in a range of sizes from the smallest 3.5” thru to the Reinforced 10” Flyer. All individual parts are available separately. This includes the Spliced Rope, Handles etc. The heads are made to detach from the handle with ease due to the taper we have machined on the Flyer Head Shaft. This allows the Flyer insert of the handle to have a reverse taper machined into it to make it work extremely well making the Hookem Flyers very Popular.

All Hookem Products are made from the highest Quality Marine Grade Stainless Steel. All the machined parts are made to press fit into the handles to create optimum strength between the Stainless Steel Head and the Anodised thick walled Aluminium Handle.
