Tagging and Release

Tagging and releasing fish requires a similar approach as that for safe gaffing.

By taking the same softly, softly approach to tag and release, the fish can be more easily lead to the right position at the side of the boat.  In this way the tag can be set, without panicking the fish and forcing it to use all of its energy reserves.  In this way, the chances of the fish surviving are increased considerably and anglers can continue to enjoy catching them for many years into the future.
