The Snooter and Dehooker are important tools for releasing hooked rigs from Billfish when they get captured as this will allow the fish to be able to swim away unharmed. The Snooter is used to restrain the bill of the fish by tensioning the noose while the fish is still being handled. The noose is made of a soft 719 Marine Grade Cable that is attached to a pull cord at the opposite end of the handle. You slip the noose over the bill of the fish and then pull the cable tightly. This allows the fisherman to pull or push the hook out of the mouth of the fish by way of the Dehooker. By using this system you will not harm the fish (Or the fish will not harm you) whilst you are retrieving your rigs.
