SNOOTERS AND DEHOOKERS

Snooters and Dehookers are an important tool for releasing hooked rigs from Billfish when they get captured as this will allow the fish to be able to swim away unharmed.

The Snooter is used to restrain the bill of the fish by tensioning the noose while the fish is still being handled. This allows the fisherman to pull or push the hook out of the fishes mouth by way of the Dehooker.
